Delete Account - Cjobfit

At Cjobfit, you have full control over your account and personal data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time — directly from the app or by contacting us.

Your Right to Delete

Under GDPR, UAE PDPL, and other applicable privacy laws, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We honor all deletion requests promptly.

1. Delete Your Account In-App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly through the Cjobfit mobile app:

Open the Cjobfit app on your device
Tap your profile icon or go to Settings
Scroll down and tap "Account Settings"
Tap "Delete Account"
Enter your password to confirm your identity
Tap "Confirm Delete"

Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted immediately.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app (e.g., forgotten password, device lost), you can request account deletion by emailing us:

Subject: Account Deletion Request

Include: Your registered email address and a brief description of your request

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

3. What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

Your name, email address, and login credentials
Your candidate profile (skills, experience, education, certifications)
Your resume and uploaded documents (deleted from our servers and cloud storage)
Your profile picture
All chat messages and conversation history
Your AI interview recordings and transcripts
Your assessment answers and scores
Your job applications and application history
Your push notification tokens and device registrations
Your encryption keys (E2EE chat keys)

4. What Data May Be Retained

Some data may be retained after account deletion for legal and compliance purposes:

Anonymized records: Aggregated, non-identifiable data used for platform analytics and improvement (no personal information is retained)
Financial records: Transaction records required for tax and accounting compliance are retained for up to 3 years after account closure, as required by UAE law
Legal holds: If your account is subject to an active legal dispute or regulatory investigation, relevant data may be retained until the matter is resolved

All retained data is anonymized where possible and stored securely with strict access controls.

5. Partial Data Deletion

You can also delete specific data without deleting your entire account:

Delete Your Resume / Documents

In the app: Profile → Documents → Delete

Individual files can be removed at any time from your profile.

Delete Your Profile Picture

In the app: Profile → Edit Profile → Remove Photo

Update or Remove Profile Information

In the app: Profile → Edit

You can update or clear any profile field (skills, experience, education, etc.) at any time.

Request Specific Data Removal

To request removal of specific data without deleting your account, email privacy@cjobfit.com with details of what you'd like removed. We will respond within 30 days.
